Feb 07, 2011 We're excited that Mixxx 1.9 is also now available in the Mac App Store. The version in the App Store comes with AAC/M4A support and is 64-bit as an extra bonus for Mac OS X users. However, due to licensing constraints, vinyl control is not included in this version. The download page includes 32-bit and 64-bit versions. Make sure the version you download matches the version of Mixxx that you use, not the version of Windows. If you are on 64bit Windows but are using 32bit Mixxx, you need the 32bit (“x86”) version of the library. Mixxx is now the first and only known DJ software package that runs natively on 64-bit Windows, and this gives 64-bit Mixxx fans improved performance for free. A native 64-bit build also improves compatibility with ASIO devices on 64-bit Windows. To take advantage of this, you need three things: a 64-bit AMD or Intel processor (eg. If you want to build a 32-bit version of Mixxx, choose an “x86” variant. For 64-bit, choose an “x64” variant. Download and unzip one of these environments. Remember the folder to which the repository was saved. We will refer to that folder as WINLIBPATH later.
